Together with local design studio YAAM from Burkina Faso, we developed the exterior and interior of an office building in Ouagadougou. Our main goal was to create a beautiful office that is also sustainable and reduces it’s impact on the environment (low embodied energy). To achieve this we use a ventilated roof (double roof), natural ventilation and compressed earth blocks. The reddish colour of the bricks makes the building fit very beautifully into it’s context.
